Dimanche 25 juillet : Coupe du Monde à Champéry

De retour sur la coupe du Monde pour la 4ème manche à Champéry en Suisse. Grande répétition avant les Championnats du Monde qui auront lieu en 2011.
J’arrive jeudi soir dans la station helvétique avec la pluie qui ne s’arrêtera pas avant le samedi matin. Vendredi matin, je pars faire mes premières reconnaissances sous la pluie et dans la boue. Le parcours est très technique avec des racines mais beaucoup moins physique que le championnat de France. Le départ est très important car il y a un pont en bois après 150m ensuite une partie de piste large avant d’entrer dans des singles.

Dimanche 11h15, le soleil a fait sont apparition et a asséché le terrain, mais il reste de nombreuses parties où le portage du vélo est la meilleure solution car la plus rapide

Peu de temps après le départ, il y a une chute devant moi, je perds quelques places, reparts dans les 30ème position mais la suite sera difficile car il ya très peu de place pour doubler. Je fais beaucoup de parties à pied afin d’anticiper les chutes et les mauvaises trajectoires des autres concurrentes. Je passe 31ème à la fin du start loop. Le 2ème tour sera dans les mêmes conditions, il faut “batailler” pour passer et faire sa place, mais je vais payer tous ces efforts au 3ème tour (35ème). Après la mi course, je suis toujours dans un groupe entre la 25è et 35è place, je fais les efforts dans les bosses pour doubler et assure dans les parties techniques.

This week end was the 4th round of the World Cup in Swizerland at Champéry. Big repetition before the World Championships in 2011.
I arrived Thursday evening in the Swiss Mountain station with the rain that didn’t stop before Saturday morning.
Friday morning, I’ m going to do my firsts reconnaissances under the rain and in the mud. The race is very technical with a lot of roots but less physical that the French Championship. The start is very important because there is a wood bridge after 150 meters then a wide track before to enter in singles track.
Sunday 11h15, the sun shine and has dried the circuit, but there are many parts where the carrying of the bike is the best solution because it is the fastest
Juste after the start there was a crash in front of me, I was stopped and I leave again in 30th position but the continuation will be difficult because there aren’t a lot of space for to pass. I do a lot of parts to run for to anticipate the crash and bad trajectories of the others athlets.

 I pass 35th  at the end of the start loop. The 2nd lap was been in the same conditions, I must “fight” for to pass and to make her place but I’m going to pay these efforts in the 3rd lap.
 After the half-race, I am in a group between the 25th and the 35th position, I do the efforts in climb for to pass and I secure in technical parts.

I finished in the 28th position.

17 juillet : Championnat de France à Val D’Isère

C’est dans la station de Val d’Isère qu’à lieu les Championnats de France de VTT Cross Country à 1800m d’altitude.
Le parcours a été modifié à 60% par rapport à la coupe de France de 2009, il est plus court : 5,5km mais surtout plus physique.
La chaleur lourde des jours précédents à laisser place à plus de fraicheur et quelques nuages qui font un temps idéal.
Samedi 12h45, le départ est donné pour 4 tours, je fais un bon start et me positionne rapidement dans la roue de Julie et Cécile. Les sensations sont bonnes, Julie Bresset prend quelques metres d’avance dans le première bosse raide, j’essaye de suivre mais le rythme est un peu élevé. Je vais accuser le coup de ce départ sur la fin de ce 1er tour où je vais passer en 5ème position.
Dans le 2ème et 3ème tour, je retrouve mon souffle pour aller chercher la 4ème position et revenir à 25″ de la 3ème marche du podium mais les écarts sont difficiles à reboucher. Je fini ce championnat au pied du podium, mais satisfaite de mon début de course et de mes sensations.

That’s in the mountain station of Val d’Isère that the French Championship of Mountainbiking takes place in 1800 meters altitude.
The circuit has been changed 60% compared with the French Cup 2009, he is shorter : 5,5km but more physical;
The heat heavy of last days has given way the freshness and with clouds and that’s a good weather for the race.
Saturday 12:45 , the start is given for 4 laps, I do a good start and I lay me fast  in the wheel of Julie and Cécile. The sensations are good, Julie Bresset takes down some meters in the first hard climb and I try to follow but the rythme is high.
 I must recover on the end of the 1st lap and I go through the line in 5th position.
 In the second and third lap, I find my breath again to try to have the fourth place and go back to 25 seconds of the third step of the podium, but the gaps are difficult to fill. 

 I finish this championship in fourth position but satisfied of my beginn of the race and of my feelings.
The next week end is the follow of the World Cup in Champery in Switzerland  .

Week end du 2 et 3 juillet : Coupe de France à Super Besse

Place à la 3ème manche de la Coupe de France en Auvergne dans la belle station de Super Besse. Les organisateurs nous ont tracé un parcours de plus de 5km avec de beaux passages en devers, tout en single et en sous bois. Parcours très physique avec des bosses très raides et la chaleur qui était au rendez-vous.

Vendredi soir, avait lieu pour la 1ère fois un Short Track (en remplacement du relais par équipe), c’est une course très courte mais très intensive : 5tours de 780m pour les femmes avec un départ style “24h du Mans” ; mais aussi très spectaculaire car le public peut voir tout le parcours. Quelques sauts et virages relevés agrémentent ce tracé. Après 11′30 d’effort, je termine 2ème.

Le lendemain, le cross country : 4 tours de 5,5km . Après un virage un peu trop large, je suis arrêtée par des bottes de paille 300m après le départ ! Je repars sans gravité mais surtout sans motivation car il y a déjà des écarts et de nouveau des athlètes à doubler. Le 1er et 2ème tours sont très difficiles car j’ai eu du mal  à me remettre dans “ma course”, je fais beaucoup d’erreurs techniques. J’arrive tout de même à boucler ce 1er tour en 3ème place. Position que je ne quitterai plus j’usqu’à l’arrivée. Après m’être reconcentrée, je réalise un 3ème et 4ème tour plus “propres” et je reprend plaisir à rouler sur ce parcours. Les écarts étant faits, je fais ma 2ème partie de course en travaillant les relances et les parties technqiues. Je monte sur la 3ème marche du podium.

French Cup in Super Besse the 3^rd of July
 

Place in the 3rd round of the Coupe de France in Auvergne in the beautiful resort of Super Besse. The organizers have mapped out a track over 5km with beautiful passages , while single and undergrowth. Course very physical with steep bumps and heat, which was at the appointment.

Friday night was held for the first time a Short Track (replacing the relay team), a race very short but very intensive: 5tours of 780m for women with start-style “24 Hours of Le Mans”, but also very spectacular because the public can see all the circuit .   A few jumps and banked corners decorate this route. After 11′30 effort, I finished 2nd.
The next day, cross country: 4 laps of 5.5 km. After a turn too wide, I am stopped by straw bales 300m after the start! I’m leaving without gravity but mostly unmotivated because there are already gaps and new athletes to double. The first and second rounds are very difficult as I struggled to get back into “my race,” I do a lot of technicals errors. I’ll be even complete this first round in third place. Position that I never left until arrival. After reconcentration  I realize a 3rd and 4th round “cleaner” and I enjoy riding again on this course. The gap was made. In the second part of the race, I work the technicals parts. I went on the 3rd step of the podium.
